Frequently asked questions
How is end-of-service gratuity calculated in the UAE?
For full-time employees in the private sector, gratuity is generally based on basic salary: 21 days' pay for each of the first five years of service and 30 days' pay for each year after that, with a cap of two years' total wage. Can I file a labour complaint myself?
Yes. Complaints are filed with MOHRE. Getting advice first helps you include the right documents and claim the correct amounts.
