Enter your last basic monthly salary and your service dates. The calculator applies the general rule for full-time private-sector employees: 21 days' basic wage for each of the first five years and 30 days' basic wage for each year after that, pro-rated for part years and capped at two years' wage.

How gratuity is calculated
- Daily basic wage = basic monthly salary × 12 ÷ 365
- First 5 years: 21 days of daily basic wage per year of service
- After 5 years: 30 days of daily basic wage per year of service
- Part years are counted in proportion
- Less than one year of continuous service: generally no gratuity
- Total cannot exceed two years' wage
Frequently asked questions
Who is entitled to end-of-service gratuity?
Under UAE labour law, full-time private-sector employees who complete at least one year of continuous service are generally entitled to gratuity when their employment ends.
Is gratuity based on basic or total salary?
Gratuity is calculated on the last basic wage, not on allowances such as housing or transport.
Is there a maximum gratuity amount?
Yes. The total gratuity cannot exceed two years' wage.
